Residential dumpster rental for home projects
A dumpster on the driveway is the simplest way to clear out a house project. You load it on your own schedule and we haul it all away in one trip.

Before delivery day
- Pick the spot. Most people use the driveway, close to where the debris is coming from.
- Move the cars out first, including any you will need while the dumpster is there. Once it is down, it blocks whatever is behind it.
- Look up. Tree limbs, wires and the edge of the roof all matter when the truck sets the container down.
- Check with your HOA if you have one. Some set rules on where a dumpster can sit and for how long.
- Tell us about the surface. Say so if the driveway is steep, newly poured or made of pavers.
Loading it well
- Lay flat, heavy things on the floor of the container first.
- Break down what you can. A dresser in pieces takes far less room than a dresser.
- Bag loose trash so it does not blow out.
- Stop at the top of the walls. A load heaped above them cannot be hauled safely.
The sizes homeowners use
Our most popular size. Room for a move-out, a big cleanout or a medium remodel. 2 days and 1 ton included.
For one project in one part of the house, like a garage or a bathroom. 2 days and 1 ton included.
For emptying a whole house or remodeling several rooms. 2 days and 2 tons included.
Only for clean dirt, rock and concrete, such as a patio you are breaking out. 5 days, and all the weight is included for clean loads.
The 40 yard is mostly a construction size. Compare all five sizes
Driveway, street and HOA rules
A dumpster on your own driveway or property usually needs no permit. If the only place for it is a public street, the city may require one before it is delivered.
An HOA can have its own rules even when the city asks for nothing. A short email to the management company before you book saves you from a notice on the door.
Tell us where the dumpster is going when you call and we will help you work out what applies.
What stays out, and where it can go
- Chemicals, batteries and other hazardous items. Riverside County's waste department runs household hazardous waste collection for residents.
- Tires. Most tire shops take old ones.
- Appliances. Temecula Valley Junk Pick-Up can haul them away: 951-291-1700
Questions from homeowners
Will a dumpster fit on my driveway?
Tell us the length and slope of your driveway and what is overhead, and we will tell you which sizes work. The 15 yard needs the least room.
Can the dumpster go on the street in front of my house?
Sometimes. A dumpster on a public street may need a permit from the city, and an HOA can have its own rules. Tell us where it has to go and we will help you sort it out before delivery.
My rental includes 2 days. When should I have it delivered?
Have it delivered when you are ready to load, not when you start sorting. If you finish early, call and we will come get it.
What do I do with things the dumpster can't take?
Riverside County's waste department runs household hazardous waste collection for residents, which covers chemicals and batteries. Most tire shops take old tires. For appliances, Temecula Valley Junk Pick-Up can haul them away.
What if I would rather not load it myself?
Then a dumpster is the wrong tool. Temecula Valley Junk Pick-Up sends a crew that carries everything out for you. Call them at 951-291-1700.
