The city handles public events through a Special Events Permit Application. It asks organizers to reserve 4 to 6 months ahead for smaller events, and 6 to 12 months ahead for events with more than 1,000 people, more than 25 vendors, alcohol or a traffic control plan.
For restrooms, the application lists a ratio of 1 portable toilet per 500 people. At least 10% must be accessible, with at least one at each location, and multi-day events need daily service.
