Dumpster sizes, side by side

We rent five roll-off dumpsters. Each one comes with a set number of days and a set amount of weight, and one of them is only for dirt, rock and concrete.

Days and weight included

A ton is 2,000 pounds. Choose a size for more detail on what it suits and how to load it.

Start with the 15 yard

A 15 yard is where most garage and attic cleanouts start. It includes 2 days and 1 ton.

This is a starting point. Call 951-816-1124 and we will confirm the size before you book.

Three things that decide the size

How much room the debris takes. Furniture, cabinets and brush are bulky. They call for a bigger container even when they weigh little.

How much it weighs. The 15 and 20 yard include 1 ton, the 30 yard includes 2 and the 40 yard includes 4. Heavy debris can reach that number before the container looks full.

How long the job takes. Three sizes include 2 days and two include 5. If the work runs all week, that can matter more than the volume.

Dirt, rock and concrete are separate

Heavy material goes in the 10 yard lowboy and nowhere else. All the weight is included as long as the load is clean, with no trash or other debris mixed in.

Roofing debris and manure are heavy too. The 15 yard is the largest size we allow for either one.

Questions about sizes

What do the numbers mean?

A dumpster's size is its volume in cubic yards. A 20 yard dumpster holds twice the volume of a 10 yard and half the volume of a 40 yard.

Which matters more, the size or the included weight?

It depends on the debris. Bulky things like furniture fill the space first. Dense things like tile, plaster and shingles reach the weight first. Tell us what you are loading and we will tell you which one to watch.

What if I pick the wrong size?

Call before you book and describe the job. Matching the size to the job is the part we do every day, and it costs nothing to ask.

Do you still rent a 5 yard dumpster?

No. The 5 yard has been discontinued. For dirt, rock and concrete, the 10 yard lowboy is the size to book.
