Delivering a dumpster in Winchester

  • Much of Winchester is rural. Tell us about the gate, the length of the driveway and where the ground is firm.
  • Cleaning out a barn or a shop along with the house? Tell us everything that is going so we can match the size.
  • Manure and roofing go in our 15 yard, the largest size we allow for either one.

If it has to go in the road

A dumpster on your own property usually needs no permit.

Winchester has no city hall. For a dumpster in a county road, ask Riverside County's Transportation Department about an encroachment permit.

Questions about dumpsters in Winchester

Can you deliver to a property on acreage?

Tell us how long the driveway is, how wide the gate is and whether the ground is firm, and we will tell you what works.

Who do I ask about a dumpster in the road in Winchester?

Riverside County. Winchester is unincorporated, so the county's Transportation Department handles permits for county roads.

What size works for a whole-property cleanout?

The 30 yard holds a whole house and includes 2 tons. For a job that will take all week, the 40 yard includes 5 days and 4 tons.

Planning an event in Winchester?

We also rent porta potties for community events: standard units, ADA units and handwash stations. Community events here use Winchester-Domenigoni Park and its community center, and the grounds at Lake Skinner.

For an event on private property, Riverside County's Planning Department issues a Temporary Event Permit. Smaller events file at least 60 days ahead. Larger, annual and commercial events file at least 90 days ahead.

The county's instructions say no permit is needed for fewer than 100 people on a lot of one acre or more, or fewer than 300 people on a lot larger than 10 acres. Confirm with the county before you rely on that.
